The Storm
Tuesday January 11th, 1887 the Griffin mother-ship fell behind the other airships and got caught in a storm of the coast of the Châteu royal de Collioure in southern France. Wind gusts of 58 mph ripped a hole in the balloon and forced the ship to the water surface. The repair of the balloon set the journey back for a week and a half

Thursday January 27th, 1887 crossing the Black Sea the Alkonost and Buraq were attacked by the Cossack Steam-Air-Pirates. The Alkonost caught fire in the fight and had to go down to the water surface near Novorossiysk.
